FAQs
Have questions about our motorcycle training program?
Check out our FAQ section for answers or reach out directly for more information.
What is CBT training?
CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) is the first step to riding a moped or motorcycle on UK roads. It is a one-day course designed to teach you the essential skills needed to ride safely. Once you've successfully completed the course, you'll receive a CBT certificate (DL196), allowing you to ride within the legal restrictions.
Do I need a driving licence before taking my CBT?
Yes. You must have either a valid UK provisional driving licence or a full UK driving licence. Please bring your licence with you on the day of your training.
How long does a CBT course take?
Most CBT courses take a full day. However, everyone learns at a different pace, and some riders may require additional training before completing the course safely.
